"If they can think about a lyric differently, maybe they can think about life choices differently."
Roy Studmire is an artist, producer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, music director, and Professor at Berklee College of Music. Hailing from Boston, MA, Roy's mission is to share his life journey and the message of Christ while expanding the musical horizons of every person he encounters.
In 2023, Roy joined the faculty at Berklee, where he imparts expertise in hip-hop songwriting and production. A Pro Tools certified Avid Specialist, his extensive experience creating and mixing compositions for major networks and brands — including NBC, NFL, Disney, Universal (Fast X), Netflix, Bravo, MTV, Amazon Prime, Peacock, and the U.S. Army — where he made history as the first hip-hop producer for the Army Field Band — has positioned him as one of Boston's most respected voices in music.
His reach hit new heights during the 2025–26 NFL playoff season when the NFL officially licensed his record We All We Got, We All We Need — which organically became the unofficial anthem of the New England Patriots, earning coverage from multiple major outlets and airtime on iHeart Radio's Jam'n 94.5.
Roy founded TRIM (The Route Into Music), a groundbreaking music education program that uses hip-hop as a vehicle for healing, self-expression, and personal transformation. What began at the South Bay Correctional Facility has grown into a proven curriculum deployed across multiple high-need settings — including DYS facilities in Middleton, Taunton, and Worcester — as well as MissionSafe, the Lowell Youth Leadership Program, and Boston Public Schools.
He also served as lead instructor and curriculum developer for TRC Academy, in partnership with The Record Co. — a Boston-based nonprofit housing professional recording studios that caters to the music community in Boston. His curriculum helped secure grant funding and has gained citywide attention from institutions and community leaders.
Beyond education, Roy walks in a deliberate calling as an ordained deacon and ministry founder. He organized Christian worship gatherings in direct response to a satanic conference held in Boston — an act of obedience that gave birth to Unplugged Worship — a monthly gathering — and Sanctuary Social: a laid-back community space rooted in faith, fellowship, and music, where every gathering closes in prayer.
Multi-genre producer and recording artist. Credits include NBC, NFL, Disney, Universal, Netflix, Bravo, U.S. Army, and MTV. Catalog includes Becoming I, II & III, Transparency, and more.
