In a world where music plays an influential part in our emotional and mental health, TRIM was designed to use music as the vehicle allowing students to express themselves in a manner that creates an impact towards positive change. In this 8-week program, students will experience a variety of methods that will help them create clean content music from beat making, and recording vocals using the industry standard software Pro Tools, to songwriting sessions. These are all fundamental elements in building a song.
With Hip-hop culture being one of the main focuses, we can see in society that it can sometimes perpetuate toxic content. Our program serves as a platform for students to express their genuine narratives without perpetuating negative stereotypes. Imagine a world where music serves as a source of inspiration and encouragement rather than one that promotes self-sabotaging behaviors and excessive sensuality. The potential impact of such a shift on future generations and contemporary society cannot be overstated.
Here at TRIM, we’re experts at creating groundbreaking and impactful music that is still exciting to listen to. Our CEO and Founder, Roy Studmire, is a hip-hop songwriting and Production professor at Berklee College of Music and has an extensive track record of creating in all kinds of atmospheres. He’s successfully placed music on major networks and films such as NFL, Universal, BRAVO, USA, MTV, and Netflix.
Through these experiences, he has developed a proven formula and a deep understanding of what it takes to conceive and create a song from scratch that remains tasteful and non-offensive. From skillfully crafting production, to songwriting, to recording mixing & mastering, TRIM provides the full experience all in one place. With TRIM, you embark on the path to navigating through the climates of life through music.
